Meet Our Team
The CATC team is a close knit, highly motivated family committed to the mission of bringing excellence to training, agility, and competition.
Kirsten Belinsky
Kirsten has always been extremely passionate about animals and sports, and credits her experiences as an equestrian and soccer player with leading her to dog agility. As a middle school kid, she self taught her first dog (a Cocker Spaniel mix named Bailey) to do agility in her backyard with PVC equipment. After graduating from Brown University, she lived in Japan and London before calling Colorado home. Since then, she has turned her “healthy obsession” into a full time endeavor. She finds agility to be the perfect combination of her love of dogs, training, and competing. Kirsten is committed to sharing this amazing sport with anyone who wants to give it a try, whether you have goals of joining national teams or you just want something fun to do with your dog. She currently trains and competes with her Border Collie, Tide.
CPDT-KA, CSCC
Jae Thomas
Jae got her start in dog training with her first rescue dog, Miso. Scooped from the streets of Kentucky and brought to the big city of New York, Miso struggled with severe reactivity to pretty much everything. Jae threw herself into training to help Miso adjust to life in New York and quickly gained skills around clicker training and desensitization. Since moving to Colorado, Miso has thrived both off-leash and in various dog sports, and Jae added another dog to her life - Dashi, a rough collie. Dashi is Jae’s “do everything” dog, and they compete together in conformation, rally, herding, and agility. Jae is also our resident specialist on dog products, having worked as a journalist and personally testing hundreds of items.
CPDT-KA
Peter Wirth
Peter fell into agility when he realized that basic obedience classes weren’t going to be enough for his high-drive corgi, Welly. They spent a lot of time working on foundations during COVID, and dove into competitions when the world opened back up. They quickly became a team to watch; they have many tournament wins under their belts, and Welly ranked as the fastest corgi in the nation in 2023 & 2024 for AKC. They earned a spot on the US World Agility Open team in 2024 and 2025 to compete in the Netherlands. Peter regularly competes in UKI and ISC local, regional, and national events. He is a true student of the sport and enjoys sharing the beauty and challenges of it all.
Nicole Levesque
As a student of the sport for 30 years, Nicole is committed to helping students understand how the way they go about training affects their dogʼs enjoyment of the agility game. Her #1 goal is to help the human and canine members of the agility team communicate with one another. Fueled by her experiences training multiple handling methods and philosophies, she teaches classes with a focus on understanding how to see the dog’s line and how each handling skill affects it. She strives to make the dog’s job as clear as possible by training the dog to perform strong and consistent skills. Over the years she has introduced the sport of dog agility to students with over 135 different breeds and has trained and competed with 9 of her own. She is currently constantly surrounded by 3 Border Collies, 2 Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retrievers and an Australian Shepherd.
Sabin Aell
Born with an innate connection to animals, Sabin's journey into dog agility began when she adopted one-year-old Yoshi, a graduate of the 'Prison Trained K9 Program'. Recognizing his need for purpose and stimulation, Sabin enrolled with Yoshi in agility and fell in love with the sport and dog training. Today, Sabin competes with her dogs in UKI and ISC events across the United States. In 2021, Makk, a rescue Border Collie, joined their team, and together they participated at their first national event at the US Open in 2024. Beyond being an agility instructor, Sabin brings a holistic approach to canine wellness as a certified Energy Practitioner. She combines Evidence Based Clinical EFT, Microcurrent Frequencies, and Qigong Healing techniques to support canine athletes and pets. Her specialized coaching helps teams overcome anxiety, ring stress, behavioral issues, trauma, and physical discomfort, creating balanced partnerships built on trust and communication.
Brooklynn Pogue
Brooklynn has always had a strong passion for dogs. At the age of 6, she was introduced to dog training through a 4-H program for obedience. She started training her family Dachshund and went on to receive the title of Reserve Grand Champion! This ignited her life-long spark for dog training. She quickly pursued her dream and began as a kennel tech at boarding facilities and sprouted her wings with leading and mentoring. She shares her home with her three border collies Aniyu, Aleu & Pryzm. Brooklynn currently competes in agility, dock diving, barn hunt, fastcat and more. Her passion and strong dedication will help you achieve all your training goals with your pup!
Caryl Ricca
In addition to working at CATC, Caryl has owned and operated Biscuit Eaters Agility in Boulder for 25 years. She has taught everything from puppy foundations to masters handling. Caryl got her start as a clicker obedience instructor at the Humane Society of Boulder Valley. She has competed in agility with five dogs at the local and national level, and has been in three national finals in both AKC and USDAA with two of those dogs (an Aussie and a Border Collie). Caryl has a natural ability to see things from the dog’s perspective, and knows how to keep things light and humorous when teaching their two-legged teammates.
Marnie Johnson
Marnie is a Colorado native who left the corporate world in 2007 to pursue a career in dog training. She has managed dog kennels, vet clinics, and daycares and owned a dog training and retail facility from 2011 to 2020. Marnie is passionate about introducing newcomers to dog sports, whether for fun or competition, and enjoys teaching clicker training techniques to improve communication between dogs and their owners. She shares her home with Newton, her third Pembroke Welsh Corgi; Rip, a German Shepherd; and Tarko, a Golden Retriever. She is currently competing in conformation, rally, and FastCat, with plans to add obedience, herding and agility soon. Marnie is here to help you and your dog enjoy training and strengthen your bond, whether you're just getting started or looking to take your skills to the next level.
Andrea Wojciechowski
Andrea got started in scent work when she signed up for what she thought was a tracking class but turned out to be scent work. Her dogs were hooked from the first day. She entered her first AKC trial the inaugural weekend and never looked back. Along the way, she was encouraged to take her experience competing and training in scent work along with her knowledge as a former obedience instructor and become an AKC Scent work judge. She enjoys teaching scent work because it is a sport that is enjoyable for all dogs and helps build their confidence and create a bond with their owner.
Andrea Floyd
Andrea has loved dogs from before she could speak. She got her first Cocker Spaniel in 1988 and discovered that Cockers were her heart breed. She began competing in Conformation shows in 1990. She has handled many dogs to Championships, Grand Championships and Group Placements. Andrea has a passion for watching people connect with their dogs and become a polished team in the Show Ring.
