Dr. Heather North earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus in 2008 and has spent more than 15 years helping patients recover from injury and improve performance. She is the owner of Red Hammer Rehab, one of the area's leading sports orthopedic physical therapy clinics, and completed her Certified Canine Rehabilitation Therapist (CCRT) certification in 2024 to bring the same evidence-based approach to dogs.

Dr. Heather is passionate about improving mobility, reducing pain, and helping dogs of all ages—from active sport dogs to senior companions—live healthier, more comfortable lives through movement, exercise, and rehabilitation.

Red Rover Rehab

This appointment will involve a detailed evaluation of your pet including observation of gait, special testing, a detailed history, and full body evaluation. Treatment will be part of this session as well and modalities such as manual therapy, dry needling, acupuncture, electrical stimulation, and/or laser may be used.  A home exercise plan will be emailed after the appointment.  

Physical Therapy Evaluation

This will be a follow-up session building on the initial evaluation appointment along with a short re-evaluation. This session will be almost entirely treatment modalities such as manual therapy, massage, dry needling, electrical stimulation, and/or laser may be used.  An updated home exercise plan may be part of this appointment.  

Physical Therapy Follow-Up

This session is for preventative and non-injury treatments to benefit overall wellbeing, performance, or relaxation.   This session will be entirely treatment modalities such as manual therapy, dry needling, electrical stimulation, and/or laser may be used.
