Manners and Sports Prep

All new CATC students will start with one of these three classes. Where to start depends on prior experience and your training goals. If you aren’t sure where to begin, we’re happy to chat with you!

Basic Manners

This is a beginner friendly class that is great for anyone getting started in their training journey. In this class, you will learn about clickers and marker systems, basic obedience commands, positive reinforcement strategies, and more.

Advanced Manners/
CGC Prep

This class is geared towards people with previous training experience. In this class, your dog will practice calmness around other dogs and strangers, loose leash walking, working around distractions, and more.

Sports Prep

This class is for people who would like to pursue dog sports, including agility, rally, nosework, and competitive obedience. In this class, your dog will learn shaping and behavior offering, working around other dogs off leash, and delayed rewards. If you haven’t taken a class with us before, prior written approval is required to join Sports Prep.

**All of these classes may be repeated as necessary and upon instructor recommendation.

**If you feel you and your dog have the skills required to skip these classes, please email us to set up an evaluation.
