Scent Work
New to Scent Work?
Engage your dog’s natural desire to sniff and hunt! This fun activity involves the dog seeking out and finding different scents hidden in various environments, both indoors and outdoors. Taking our Basic Manners class is a pre-requisite for all of our scent work classes.

Scent Work Levels
Level 1
A 6-week beginning class to teach your dog the fun game of scent work. Dogs will learn to use their nose to find treats in various settings. The class will prepare dogs and handlers to move to searching for target odors. Dogs work one at a time in class.
Level 2
A 6-week class for dogs that have completed Level 1. Dogs will be introduced to searching for odor using a paired method and will work on all AKC odors. Dogs work one at a time in class.
Drop-Ins
A weekly class option for dogs who have completed Levels 1 and 2 and are on odor to trialing at the upper levels. Searches will be set up with training goals and feedback and tailored to the class. Trial tips and rules for AKC will be covered. Dogs work one at a time in drop-in class.
