About CATC

Canine Athletics Training Center is a new facility located just outside of Boulder, Colorado. Our mission is to deepen the connection between owners and their canine companions. The brainchild of Kirsten Belinsky, CATC aims to up the game of all front range Colorado dog lovers. The benefits of dog training are wide-ranging. Owners are happier when they have less friction in their lives with their dogs. Dogs gain fulfillment and confidence through training and playing. People gain community, support, and life-long friendships through dog training.

We’re aiming to raise the bar for US agility training and increase visibility and popularity of the sport in Colorado and the US.

We aim to make CATC a thriving training space that caters to all aspects of dog sport and wellness. We want the people who train with us to be proud members of our community and represent us well locally, nationally, and internationally. Our system is one in which people learn about themselves through dog training, and both dogs and humans become better versions of themselves in the process.

Our Vision

Code of Conduct

At CATC, we are committed to upholding the highest level of standards to maintain a welcoming and supportive dog training community. This code of conduct serves as a framework to hold CATC and its patrons accountable for our goals and values.

Animal Welfare

Harsh physical and verbal corrections of dogs is not permitted. Harsh corrections will be determined by facility ownership, instructors and CATC staff.

Management

For the safety of all dogs and handlers, dogs need to be under their handler’s control at all times. It is the handler’s responsibility to proactively manage their dog’s interactions with other dogs and people. CATC does not permit aggressive or inappropriate dog behavior.

Respect

We aim to provide a supportive dog training community. CATC does not permit harassment, disrespectful language, or disrespectful actions towards students, patrons, or staff.

Stewardship

Patrons of CATC are required to clean up after themselves and their dogs, inside and outside of the facility. Dogs must remain on leash at all times unless actively participating in class activities.

Non-Discrimination

We prioritize diversity and inclusivity — both for dogs and humans. We welcome people of all ethnicities, genders, abilities, and backgrounds. Discrimination of any kind is strictly prohibited.

Safety

Dogs and handlers must be trained on all equipment. Patrons of CATC are required to use best practices for the safe use of equipment, and they may not use force to get dogs on equipment.
